Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong opens today!
|
Fresh product introductions, innovations and connections await buyers
at Asia’s No. 1 mid-year B2B fine jewellery fair
|
|
HONG KONG, 20 June 2024 – Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) is off to an exciting start today with thousands of product introductions from approximately 1,500 exhibitors from 30+ countries and regions. Taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) until Sunday, Asia’s biggest mid-year B2B fine jewellery sourcing fair is divided into 30+ well-defined theme and group pavilions, and features significant highlights such as the big reveal on the finalists for the Sustainability Awards 2024 by JWA (Jewellery World Awards), panel sessions on sustainability and jewellery design, and a one-of-a-kind ruby experience, “Red Radiance 2.0.”
Among JGA’s distinct attractions are the consolidated Fine Design/Fine Gem Pavilion in Hall 3E – a space dedicated to high jewellery manufacturers and select gemstone houses; the CORE Pavilion, which features the best of Hong Kong’s jewellery and gemstone industry; the Fei Cui Gallery with its expansive jadeite display, and the Antique & Vintage Jewellery Pavilion, a favourite of speciality shops and boutiques. Professional buyers will also find a diverse selection of exceptional offerings throughout the show’s various sections, thoughtfully organised by product categories. These encompass loose diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls; finished jewellery and jewellery mountings; loose lab-grown diamonds and jewellery; jewellery manufacturing equipment; packaging solutions and technology applications. Moreover, trade association-led sections streamline the fair experience by providing attendees with a clear understanding of the products they can expect and the exhibitors they can source from.
“There is so much to experience at JGA, but our mission goes beyond product discovery,” shared David Bondi, Senior Vice President of Informa Markets in Asia. “It’s about providing attendees with the platform where they can cultivate strong relationships with suppliers – both longstanding and new, gain insights from industry peers and witness market developments firsthand. These have become increasingly important given the dramatic developments we’ve witnessed in recent years. Active participation at the heart of the action is essential, most especially now.”
Jewellery and gemstone buyers, who are curating their inventory throughout the stocking season, cannot afford to overlook JGA, said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery.
“Imagine the show floor as full of unopened doors or opportunities yet to be explored. That’s where the magic of our in-person events truly lies. At JGA, our exhibitors bring a fresh and dynamic energy, and our attendees will benefit from this,” Lau added.

Moreover, the finalists for the Sustainability Awards 2024 by JWA (Jewellery World Awards) will be announced at today’s Media Gathering. The event also provides a sneak preview of “Orient Odyssey,” a special exhibit that pays tribute to the timeless beauty of pearls, scheduled for launch at JGW in September. The pearl celebration is presented by Informa’s Jewellery & Gem Knowledge Community, the same team behind the highly successful “Red Radiance” ruby showcase at JGW 2023 and its sequel, “Red Radiance 2.0 – The Ruby’s Mine-to-Market Adventure,” which can be experienced at Booth 3M260. This immersive gemstone learning opportunity, unlike any other in the jewellery trade fair scene, offers live gemstone-cutting demonstrations by renowned artist and Extraordinary 40 Awardee, Victor Tuzlukov, along with a ruby exhibit, audio storytelling and inclusion viewing.
Additionally, at the Media Gathering, six exhibitors are prepared to give the trade media and jewellery-focused influencers an exclusive look at their finest collections.
