The world of jewellery and gems comes
alive in Hong Kong today!
Four days of sourcing begins as nearly 1,100 exhibitors showcase latest collections to international buyers at JGA
HONG KONG, 18 June 2026 − Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) kicks off today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), bringing together close to 1,100 exhibitors from around 30 countries and regions − all poised to meet the diverse sourcing needs of trade buyers from across the globe, show organiser Informa Markets Jewellery announced.

Running until Sunday, Asia’s No.1 mid-year B2B jewellery buying destination brings together two co-located fairs, featuring 30+ pavilions: JGA: Jewellery in Hall 1 and JGA: Diamonds, Gemstones & Pearls+ in Hall 3.

At JGA, the real conversations happen directly on the show floor, where buyers and suppliers connect face-to-face to navigate the challenges impacting the global jewellery landscape.

“The past few years have tested our industry in unprecedented ways,” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery. “From COVID-19 to tariff adjustments and geopolitical tensions, the jewellery sector has faced significant challenges. Yet this is precisely why JGA matters. This is where our industry comes together to address these issues with clarity and purpose. We’re energised to see professionals connect, exchange insights and figure out what these changes actually mean for their businesses moving forward.”
Discovery and sourcing
JGA’s two shows offer buyers rich and diverse sourcing opportunities across every category.

JGA: Jewellery in Hall 1 covers all the bases when it comes to finished jewellery, from retail favourites to statement pieces designed to impress. Here, wholesalers and retailers will discover creations adorned with diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls and other precious materials, alongside collections in plain metal. A standout feature is the CORE Pavilion, which highlights Hong Kong’s renowned jewellery expertise. The city’s jewellery community is celebrated for its innovation in both design and manufacturing, delivering everything from bespoke offerings to high-volume quality production. For buyers seeking standout pieces to meet peak-season demand, this pavilion is essential.

Over in Hall 3, JGA: Diamonds, Gemstones & Pearls+ presents a broad array of loose precious materials from international suppliers. One of its key highlights is the Fine Design/Fine Gem Pavilion, featuring couture jewels and rare gems coveted by legacy brands, premium retailers and discerning collectors. This exclusive space unveils exceptional treasures that define luxury collections.

Adding a new dimension to the visitor experience, Informa has launched the beta version of Exhibitor Finder, an AI-powered tool designed to connect JGA visitors with relevant exhibitors. Buyers will receive personalised recommendations based on their business profile and matchmaking needs, select exhibitors to visit and view highlighted booths on an interactive map. An enhanced version will debut at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) in September.

Design Challenge
Adding to the excitement, the spotlight shines on the finalists of Informa’s Gender-Fluid Coloured Gem Jewellery Design Challenge, comprising two tracks: Students and Professionals. The finalists’ works are on display until Sunday at Stand 1C302 in Hall 1C, with both tracks featuring three categories: Brooch, Earrings and Ring.

The Student Track showcases 116 entries from design students across nine countries and regions in Asia while the Professional Track presents a curated selection from professional designers within the Taotian Group − Gold & Fashion Jewellery Industry’s design community.

Organised by Informa Markets Jewellery, the competition is supported by EJI (Principal Sponsor), RMC Gems HK Co (Gem Sponsor), International Colored Gemstone Association/ICA (Sponsor) and the Taotian Group − Gold & Fashion Jewellery Industry (Professional Track Collaborator).

The judging process is twofold. Visitors and exhibitors may cast their votes for their favourite designs by completing the Voting Form onsite. In addition, a three-member judging panel will help select the winning designs, which will be brought to life in collaboration with EJI and presented at JGW in September. This initiative provides aspiring jewellery designers with a valuable platform for global exposure and recognition.

Winners will be announced in July and will receive a sponsored trip to JGW 2026, ownership of their completed jewellery piece, editorial coverage and an official certificate. The accolades will be presented during the Awards Ceremony at the JGW Fair Reception on 16 September at the HKCEC.
